Ariel Leong

Hello! My name is Ariel.

For as long as I can remember, I am drawn to geometry, the mysteries of science and what technology can do.

From building apps to competing in math olympaids, my journey in STEM has been exciting. But I am also a musician who has been playing piano since I was two and a half, and a reader who has gone through Harry Potter twenty-two times.

This is where I bring Science, Math, music and stories that I love together.

A young girl smiling and making a peace sign with both hands inside a playful, colorful playground area. She is wearing a beige jacket with black and white striped collar, carrying a pink crossbody bag with a tag, and standing in front of a light blue picket-style fence with a large yellow and pink structure in the background.

I want to be an entrepreneur. Math olympaids train

me to think about hard problems.

Science experiments teach me to test ideas,

fail and try again.

Coding shows me that I can turn an idea

into something real.

Competitions and Olympiads

From APMOS and NMOS to the Australian Math Competition and APMOS, I love the challenge of a math olympiad. In 2024, I joined the National Robotics Competition and did a sponge city presentation on water and flood management.

STEM Projects

I explore science beyond the classroom. I have a YouTube channel, Ariel Explores, where I document my projects including how a periscope works. I also built working apps on MIT App Inventor, including games with real mechanics.

Entreprenuership and code development

I have attended coding classes and worked on MIT App Inventor to bring my ideas to life. At school, I am part of the E2K Science enrichment programme. I am working on an app for learning Chinese.

Extracurricular Activities

Piano and reading are at the heart of who I am. I have performed publicly, including at the MINT Museum of Toys. I have read the Harry Potter series twenty-two times, and my bookshelf includes everything from Roald Dahl to literary fiction.

All you can do in this life is follow your dreams. Otherwise you’re just wasting your time.
